Okay, so, I’ve been seeing this YSL JUNE BOX BAG everywhere. You know, Yves Saint Laurent? Everyone’s been talking about it. It’s like a little box, and they say it’s a “remake.” Sounds fancy, right?
I thought, “Why not try to make one myself?” I’m pretty handy, always fixing things around the house, so I figured I could handle it. They call it “Remake Yves Saint Laurent YSL JUNE BOX BAG,” which is a mouthful. But it’s basically just a small bag, shaped like a box. That is a classical design.
First, I had to figure out what I needed. Some good, stiff fabric, something to make it hold its shape, and, of course, that YSL logo. I mean, that’s what makes it a YSL bag, right? I went down to the local market, rummaged through the stalls, talked to old Martha who always has the best advice on fabrics. I finally found the stuff I needed, after a whole morning of searching.
Then came the real work. Cutting, sewing, measuring—it was like putting together one of those complicated puzzles. But I kept at it, following some patterns I found in my old sewing books. The hardest part was making it look like a proper box, all those corners had to be just right. I ripped out a few seams, had to redo some parts, but I wasn’t giving up.

It’s not perfect, a little rough around the edges, but it holds its shape, and it even has that YSL logo I made from some leftover materials. I made a classical design YSL bag!
Now, I’m not saying everyone should go out and try to make their own designer bags. But it was a fun project, and it felt good to create something with my own two hands. Plus, now I have a cute little box bag to carry my things in. It’s a conversation starter, that’s for sure. People ask me where I got it, and I just smile and say, “Oh, this old thing? I made it myself.”
So, yeah, that’s my little adventure with the YSL JUNE BOX BAG. A lot of work, but totally worth it in the end. Maybe I’ll try another design next. Who knows?
