So, I’ve been eyeing this bag for a while, you know? Finally, I made up my mind and went for it. This special edition, they call it.
First off, I hit up those specialty shops. They’re the ones that carry these remake things. Walked into a couple of stores, checked out the bag in person. Wanted to make sure it’s the real deal, you know?
I did some digging online too. Lots of folks talking about this Galleria bag. Seems like they remake it every so often, keep it fresh and all that. It’s pretty, I will say that. Simple, but nice.
- Checked the inside tag
- Made sure the stitches were straight
- Looked for that “Prada Milano” thing
They say the first one of these was made way back, like a hundred years ago. The leather is supposed to be special, Saffiano they call it. Textured, so it doesn’t scratch easy. Makes sense. Back then, they didn’t have all these fancy materials, right?
Felt It Up, You Know?
Had to make sure it felt right. Good weight, not too heavy. The leather was smooth, but with that texture. And the stitching, oh boy, it was perfect. Tiny, even stitches, all lined up. I guess that’s how you know it’s not a fake. They say the real ones have these perfect stitches.
They’ve been making these bags for a long time, it seems. Started with this one lady, Miuccia, back in the day. Made a simple black one, and everyone went crazy for it. They even made shoes later on, too.
So yeah, that’s my little story about getting this bag. It’s a bit of a splurge, but I think it’s worth it. It’s a classic, they say, and it’ll probably last forever. Or at least until they remake it again!
