Today I wanted to mess around and try to remake a bag. You know, those fancy Yves Saint Laurent ones? Yeah, one of those. Specifically, the YSL JUNE BOX BAG. I found this design online and thought, “Why not give it a shot?” I mean, I’ve got some experience with leather and stuff, so I figured it wouldn’t be too hard. Plus, those bags are crazy expensive, and I’m not about to drop that kind of cash on a bag.
First things first, I gathered all my materials. I hit up a local shop and got some pretty decent vegetable-tanned leather. It looked good, felt good, and didn’t cost me an arm and a leg. I also made sure I had all the other bits and pieces, like thread, needles, and some metal hardware to make it look legit.
Next up, I started working on the pattern. I sketched out the design of the JUNE BOX BAG, trying to copy it as closely as possible. It’s a pretty structured bag, so I had to make sure all the pieces would fit together perfectly. It took a bit of trial and error, but I eventually got a pattern I was happy with.

Finally, I finished up all the little details. I checked all the seams, made sure the hardware was on tight, and gave the whole bag a good once-over. And there it was—my very own handmade YSL JUNE BOX BAG. It wasn’t perfect, but I was pretty damn proud of it.
The Final Look
Honestly, the bag turned out better than I expected. It looked pretty close to the original, and it felt great to carry around. It wasn’t exactly like those high-end ones you see in stores, but it had its own charm. Plus, it was way cheaper. I might not be a famous designer, but I made something cool and useful, and that’s what matters.
